Admin Spotlight : Automatically Sync User Locations from Active Directory 🌍

Today, we've made a significant step forward in automating administrative processes and improving data accuracy with the introduction of Sync User Location from Active Directory. The release of this feature enhances our platform's integration capabilities, particularly with your organization's Active Directory.

What is the New Feature?

Our new Sync User Location feature deepens our SCIM integration by enabling the automatic synchronization of a user’s primary office location directly from your Active Directory. This update is designed to streamline how users office locations are managed within our system, ensuring they are always up-to-date and accurately reflected.

Benefits for Admins:

• Time Savings: Automate the synchronization process, significantly reducing the manual effort required, especially beneficial for large organizations.

• Accuracy and Efficiency: Automatically update user profiles with the correct office locations, minimizing errors and the need for subsequent corrections.

• Enhanced User Experience: Ensure users are assigned to their correct primary offices from the start, improving their interaction with location-based services and facilities.

Limitations:

This sync only happens when users are first provisioned in OfficeRnD Hybrid ( for example during onboarding ) and currently syncs the primary office location as listed in the Active Directory. We are considering future enhancements to include more detailed location data and additional attributes as needed by our customers.
